We had a blast playing for the Naperville Rotary’s 80s Night Fundraiser. Great organization raising money for a number of causes. We played a mostly 80’s set that brought back a lot of memories for most of us (at least those of us who were alive in the 80s!)
We had a very busy weekend and wish to thank everyone who came out to support us at both Blarney Stone on Saturday night and Cross of Glory Lutheran church Sunday afternoon.
We also want to thank Rog and Luay who were both ailing this weekend. Unbeknownst to the band until after we finished the gig Saturday night, Rog had not been feeling well beginning the night before and extending through the gig. He worked rounding on his hospital patients most of Saturday before joining us at Blarney Stone. We didn’t know for sure until late the following morning if he was going to be able to perform at the church gig.
In addition, Luay is in a cycle of working 4 out of 5 weekends. Luay was also dealing with tendinitis during the entire week. He didn’t miss a single note!
Music is a great passion for us. Kudos to everyone in the band for taking time away from friends and family to prepare and perform and to Jeff for finishing Sundays gig to then drive directly to work in the icu.
The Interlopers wish to thank all of you who came out to see us perform a Joe Daniels last Friday and also want to thank Doug for inviting us. We had a great time! This was our first live performance since just before the world shut down for covid.
Looking forward to seeing you at The Blarney Stone in Oak Forest on Friday August 13 starting at 7 pm.
